Phil Hore has had his lastest romance story published in Love Potion #9: 14 Paranormal Romances.
Phillip Berrie’s first novel, Transgressions, was released in print by Satalyte Publications.
Don Aitkin has published his fifth novel, Moving On. The launch will be on 27 October at Paperchain Bookstore. Details here.
Biff Ward was shortlisted for the WA Premier’s Award (nonfiction) for In My Mother’s Hands.
Maura Pierlot’s play, Tapping Out, won the SOLO Monologue Competition (published category), run by Hothouse Theatre, Wodonga. The play was performed at the Butter Factory Theatre as part of the Write Around the Murray Festival. Tapping Out was also performed at the Brisbane Powerhouse in July as part of Short+Sweet. Maura’s play Rewind was recently selected by Theatre 451, Melbourne for its Elevate program later this year.
Stephanie Owen Reeder’s Lennie the Legend: Solo to Sydney by Pony won the information book category of the CBCA Children’s Book of the Year Award.
Jordan Amos was shortlisted for the John Marsden & Hachette Australia Prize for Young Writers for her story ‘While You Were Sleeping’.
Anthony Hill had a new edition of Young Digger published in June, as well as his most recent book, For Love of Country, published by Penguin/Viking.
Jo Forestier had a story published in the June edition of Positive Words entitled ‘Ants Don’t Need a Ladder’. She also had her poem ‘Cool As’ published in the July edition.
Megan Costigan’s short story ‘Flight’ was published in the 2015 anthology Flourish: Award winning Original Short Stories, as well as her poem ‘Crash’ published in LOVE: A Collection of Poetry and Prose on Loving and Being in Love produced by Collections of Poetry and Prose.
Angie Hoffman had an article ‘Former PMs on Easy Street’ published in the Tasmanian newspaper The Mercury.
David Scholes had his sci-fi story ‘Original Thought‘ published in the June 2016 issue of Ion Newcombe’s Antipodean SF. He also the stories ‘Feeding Time’ , ‘The Real Dream World’, and ‘(Not so) Brave New World’ published on Earl Wynn’s Farther Stars Than These site.
